The first great moment that I remember was when I was three years old - a storm - I tore my clothes and ran out in it - and I have been doing that in storms ever since.......

Jaime Murcia is an Australian photographer, author and guide, based in Melbourne, Victoria. He tells stories through images, striving to convey a strong sense of place, and the spirit of the people he photographs. Jaime is a member and past President of MAPgroup (Many Australian Photographers) His images have appeared in Time magazine, The Age, Royal Auto magazine, Good Weekend magazine, The Big Issue, Qantas Australian Way, The Weekend Australian magazine, Bloomberg News International. He has photographed major commissions for Arts Victoria - Koorie Heritage Trust, City of Melbourne, Parliament of Victoria, Murray Goulburn Co-operative, CUA credit union and Victorian Racing Commission among others. He recently completed his first solo book ‘Little Big Town’, A photographic journey through Melbourne’s little streets and laneways. A number of his photos are held in the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra and the National Library of Australia.
